Getting my Ya-Yas out
Some of you may not know this, but in my former life, I was a visual merchandiser. (If you're my age, think Rhoda from the Mary Tyler Moore show.) Contrary to what you may think, it wasn't a very creative job since we had to follow strict corporate guidelines. That is one of the many reasons why I love making my Solstice Angel every year for the Holidays.
Many of us our very excited that Women of Willow Grove will have a store front in the Willow Grove Mall (second floor...close to Bloomies). The board and it's Members are still in the process of figuring out what it's going to be when it grows up, but I offered my services to help out as a visual merchandiser. The official opening is the weekend of July 20th. I'm sure the window will have many incarnations between now and then, but we wanted to put a quick teaser up. Of course, my mind is going a mile a minute. I'm thinking about the fun windows we can come up with for the Holidays. It's just another way for me to get my Ya-Yas out. I have a file on my computer with fun images of what I like to call "unwearables." Sometimes form should take a second billing to function . Enjoy some of these lovely creations that I found on the internet. Ta for now. We're off to see Wait Wait Don't tell me live at the Mann Music Center. (Thursday night) Happy Fashion Friday and a safe and happy Fourth of July. denise
