Why you may have “nothing” to wear
What I hear most from my clients: “I have a closet full of clothes, yet nothing to wear.” This is the second part of a series as to why you may have a lot of nothing to wear, along with some solutions.
You may be drawing a blank when you stare at your closet if you are unsure of the image you want to portray to the world or if you do not know what colors look best on you.
I find so many women do not have a clear idea of their own personal style. Because of that, they have a hodgepodge of styles in their closet and outfits they just don’t feel comfortable in. Very often, when I’m doing a Wardrobe sweep, I see things hanging in the closet with the tags still on them and I hear things like “The salesperson talked me into it” or “I bought that on vacation. It seemed like a good idea at the time.” If you have a clear idea of your personal style, no sales person can talk you into something that is not appropriate for you. No matter how much in the moment you are when your traveling to Paris or Iceland or Jamaica, you won’t be tempted to come home with that hot pink scarf or that orange & chartreuse sarong when you are certain of your best colors.
I'm going to revisit two of my previous blogs:
I can't stress how important wearing your "best" colors are. The least complicated approach is to determine if you look best in warm or cool colors.
Whether you're staring at your closet or shopping in a store or online, it's helpful to have a list of key words in your mind's eye.
Have a wonderful weekend and see you next Friday with more reason & solutions as to why you may have "nothing to wear."
